Free means free
Some “free” CV builders let you fill in every field and then ask for payment at the download step, or turn a small trial into a monthly subscription. There is no payment step here: no account, no card, and you can download the PDF as often as you like. The CV is put together in your browser; nothing you type is sent to a server.
German, Turkish or international format
Countries expect different things from a CV, so the form changes with the format you pick:
- International (English): UK and US practice — no photo, no date of birth or marital status, one column.
- Germany (Lebenslauf): the layout described by Germany’s Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit): dates in their own column, most recent first, and place, date and signature at the end. Date of birth, nationality and marital status are optional.
- Turkey: photo, military service and driving licence fields; date of birth and marital status optional.
The language of the CV is separate from the language of this site. Pick the German format and English as the CV language, and you get a German-style CV with English headings — what many applicants from abroad are asked for. The preview is the PDF
The preview is not an imitation: every change redraws the actual PDF and shows its pages, so what you see is what you download. There are three templates — Classic (sidebar with photo), Modern (colour band) and Simple (ATS) (one column, no photo) — in five matte colours.
What an applicant tracking system reads
Larger employers read applications with applicant tracking systems (ATS), which work from the text inside the PDF; a CV made as a picture gives them nothing to read. This PDF is real text from top to bottom, including accented characters. The checks show the text read back from the PDF itself — the text an ATS will see — so you can confirm your name and contact details are in it.
Nobody can know in advance how a particular system will rank a CV, so there is no score. Paste the job advert into the cover-letter tab to see which of its words your CV already mentions.
Cover letter
The cover-letter tab takes your name, contact details, design and signature from the CV, so you only write the part that belongs to this one application. Where your details stay
With “Remember on this device” on, the CV is stored only in this browser, so you can close the page and carry on later. On a shared computer, switch it off or press “Delete my data” when you are done. “Save to file” downloads a small file: load it for your next application, change what is new, and download a fresh PDF.
If a form also asks for a photo under a certain file size, resize image to KB does that in one step.
The small note in the corner
The first page carries a small grey “Made with novexastudio.com” note in the bottom-right margin. It shows in the preview from the start, and the box under the download button removes it with one click. It is printed as an image rather than text, so an applicant tracking system does not mistake it for your own website.
How to make a CV for free
Step 1: Choose the format and template
International, German or Turkish format; the CV language follows, and you can change it. Pick Classic, Modern or Simple (ATS) and a colour.
Step 2: Fill in your details
Personal details, experience, education, skills and languages — or start from an example and write over it.
Step 3: Read the preview and the checks
You see the real PDF, its page count, any gaps longer than three months and the text an applicant tracking system will read.
Step 4: Download the PDF and keep the file
Download the CV on its own or together with a cover letter, and use “Save to file” to keep your details for next time.

Should I put a photo on my CV?

What is an ATS-friendly CV?
One whose text an applicant tracking system can read without trouble: real text rather than a picture, standard headings, a sensible reading order. This PDF is generated as text, and the Simple (ATS) template is also one column without a photo.
How long should a CV be?
Usually one or two pages; one is enough early in a career. The checks show the page count and warn above two.
How do I update my CV later?
Come back in the same browser and carry on. On another device, or months later, open the file you saved with “Save to file” using “Load from file”.
