Two different things are called a producer tag

It is worth knowing which one you have first, because only one of them is metadata:

  • Credits in the metadata. Text in the ID3 tag: the producer or composer, the list of people involved, the software the beat was exported from, a comment with an email address or a store link. Silent while the track plays, visible in every player’s info panel. This is what the tool removes.
  • A voice tag in the audio. The spoken drop or sound a producer mixes into a beat — the name you hear in the first seconds. It is part of the waveform, just like the kick drum. No metadata tool can remove it, and this one does not pretend to.

What gets removed

Producer-related ID3 fields
FieldWhat it holds
TIPL / IPLSInvolved people — roles such as producer, mixer, engineer
TMCLMusician credits
TCOM / TEXTComposer and lyricist
TENCEncoded by — often a producer or studio name
TSSEThe software and settings used for the export
COMMComments — contact details, “prod. by”, store links
WXXX / WOARLinks to a website, store or artist page
PRIVPrivate data some applications write for themselves

The page opens in Technical data only, which removes everything in the table and keeps the title, artist and album. If the beat should carry no labels at all, switch to Every tag.

For producers: clean a beat before it leaves

An exported MP3 often says more than you meant to share: the DAW and its version, a comment from the session, an old email address, a link to a store you left. Run previews and client bounces through the tool before you upload or send them, and each file carries its title and your name — nothing else.

If you need an untagged version of your own beat, the voice tag is a track in your project: mute it and export again. That is the only clean way to remove it, and as the producer you are the one who has the project.

For artists: why the voice tag stays

On beat marketplaces the voice tag is how a producer marks the free or preview version. The untagged file — MP3, WAV or stems, depending on the licence — is what a lease or purchase delivers. Tools that promise to cut a voice tag out of a finished beat rely on EQ or source separation, leave audible damage, and on someone else’s beat sidestep the licence the tag exists to protect. If you want the beat without the tag, buy the licence or ask the producer for the clean file.

Lossless and local

Tags are cut from the head and tail of the file and the audio frames are copied byte for byte — no re-encode, no quality loss. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded, which matters for a beat that has not been released.

How to remove producer credits from an MP3

The mode that removes credits but keeps title and artist is already selected.

  1. Step 1: Drop the beat in

Drag the MP3 onto the box above. A whole folder of previews can go in at once and comes back as a ZIP.

  2. Step 2: Read what the file carries

The report names what it found — producer and composer credits, software, comments, links — and shows the title and artist that will be kept.

  3. Step 3: Clean and download

Press the button. Everything but the listener labels is removed in your browser, and the audio is copied through unchanged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this remove the voice tag from a beat?

No. A voice tag is sound mixed into the audio, not metadata. This tool never modifies the audio, so the beat sounds identical after cleaning — tag included.

I bought a licence but only have the tagged file. What now?

Ask the producer or the marketplace for the untagged download; it is part of what the licence includes. Cutting the tag out yourself degrades the beat, and the clean file already exists.

Will removing the credits cause problems on upload platforms?

No. An MP3 with fewer tags is valid everywhere. Platforms that read tags to pre-fill an upload form simply show the title and artist that were kept.

What does my DAW write into an exported MP3?

It depends on the application and version, and it changes with updates, so guessing is unreliable. Drop an export into the tool: the report lists what is actually there.

Is my beat uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
